What classy lady doesn't beer on her chest and a dirty old man on her back?

Tell him you love homemade beer and win that wet t-shirt contest at the same time.

I have been pleased with the amount of very positive and supportive email I have received in the past few weeks from you, my loyal readers. Almost no one has wasted my time or theirs trying to convert or fellowship me (though one commenter showed would-be apologists the right way to be taken seriously). In addition to dozens of questions about garments I have had a few people ask about my current belief system.

One articulate reader got right to the point:

Where do you stand on faith? Do you still believe in God?

Let me answer that as clearly as I can. I have faith... just not in God or religion. If I were forced to apply a label to myself religiously it would be as a Secular Humanist though I have no idea what time the meetings are. Really though, the idea of any kind of religion or religious moniker makes me want to puke blood through my nose. I hope never to sit in another congregation of any kind again in my life.

To answer the second question even more directly, no, I don't believe in God.

Secular Humanism

Secular Humanists don't have meetings.

Some of us meet online in a little group calld human_ism@yahoogroups.com. What's funny, though, is we don't talk about secular humanism much. Fact is, we have more different about ourselves than the same, so we just end up arguing politics a lot.

Yeah...

That was a joke :) Sarcasm or irony or something...

  • I've said it before. I'll say it again. I wish this was my dog.

Or is it wish it were? I always get mixed up on the subjunctive case.
