Remember how funny it was when my daughter sent me this text message? Think how funny it will be when everyone you know is saying, "your mom is a" after everything you say too.
And, I've seen your mom. It's true. She IS a nice piece of lettuce.

Allow me, if I may, to comment on a few current event items.
Except for you queers, that is...
Everyone knows the LDS Church proudly displays a sign reading "Visitors Welcome" on the front lawn of all its buildings, right? Well, the gay rights group Soulforce was recently told by the LDS Church that their members are to "not enter church property for any purpose."
Just like Jesus would have told them, I'm sure.
A real shame too as a few Soulforce members still consider themselves Mormon. In fact, about 50 of the group's members had planned to visit the LDS Church-owned Welfare Square to volunteer at the cannery. Presumably to show support for the church's humanitarian efforts despite their plans to protest anti-gay policies at BYU the next day.
Now, all the church will get is empty cans.
Oh, and the group is still planning on protesting at BYU. So they've got that to look forward to... which is nice.
Rocky v. O'Reilly, Hannity, et al.
There's a lot of flap about Salt Lake Mayor Rocky Anderson and some nonsense about him debating Bill O'Reilly and/or Sean Hannity.
Could I seriously give less of a crap than I do about any of this?

Right...
I don't argue the church's right to allow or disallow anyone they choose on their property. I'm also not endorsing Soulforce, as I don't know really anything about them beyond this news story.
I think it's interesting though that they would be turned away from the Cannery. It's hardly in the public eye. The worst they could have done was helped to feed the needy.
Jeebus
What a waste of a use of a good bus.
Some Soulforcers are still Mormon, too? That IS queer, and not in a nuts against your chin kind of way, either.
O'Reilly can't fuck off and die fast enough.
The classy thing to do would
The classy thing to do would have been to invite the protesters for a breakfast and agree to disagree. Bringing out the lawyers is lame.
Of course, Soulforce would have filled peaches. It's not in their interest to disrupt a charitable effort. It's in their interest to demonstrate that they are productive and contributing citizens.
Powerful Reform
Too bad they blocked them from the cannery. Getting 50 queers to fill 100's of peaches and handle 100's of cans in only a few hours is really quite an impressive church program! That may have been copied nation wide.
Headline making:
Church program sees gays happily handling cans, filling peaches.
Peaches come from a can
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat me a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Peaches come from a can,
they were put there by a man
In a factory downtown
If I had my little way,
I'd eat peaches every day
Sun-soakin' bulges in the shade
Take a little naps where the roots all twist
Squished a rotten peach in my fist
And dreamed about you, woman,
I poked my finger down inside
Make a little room for it to hide
Nature's candy in my hand or can or a pie
Millions of peaches, peaches for me
Millions of peaches, peaches for free
Look out!
Speechless?
From what I have read, you always have something to say....
Am I the first one to make you speechless?

might want to mention the ENTIRE story tho...
it's not just any property...it's temple square.
this group is notoriously disruptive. do you really think their REAL intention is to volunteer at the cannery??? come on!
they organize what's called a "die-in" and raise a ruckus...
and the church won't really allow anyone to demonstrate on temple square. it's kinda always been that way...
why the EFF am i even explaining all of this??
