So, How Do You Feel?

Wednesday, April 23, 2008

I've had a few of you ask how I'm feeling since I started on the crazy pills.

I'm reminded of when my mother had her hysterectomy. When we picked her up from the hospital I asked her if she was feeling OK. She looked at me quizzically for a moment before finally muttering flatly, "I don't feel anything. Not happy. Not sad. Not anything."

That's me. I don't really feel much of anything. I think that's basically the point though. Isn't it?

Feeling

Pete, I almost immediately started feeling better. And that wasn't numb, that was feeling optimistic about things. It doesn't alleviate everything and I do have the gamut of emotions but I don't feel "nothing". Just saying (and you probably are) keep trying different things/dosages with your dr. until you get the right thing, 'cause nothing isn't any better than crappy, IMHO.

Hang in there.

actually...

it's been quite refreshing.

Today's Photo

  • My nephew is a pretty cool kid. That is, when he isn't throwing a tantrum or breaking something. Like his head. This is a very rare picture of him without a visible bruise, bandage or goose egg.

Like the Mona Lisa, there's a mystery behind his smile. To me, it's obvious why he's smiling. A smirk like that tells me he probably just set something on fire.
