Nightlife In Belfast or Dublin ? - Belfast Forum - TripAdvisor

Coming to Ireland for my birthday and wanted to kmow which city is best for the nightlife? It would be my 21st and I would be with a group of girls around the same age so obviously we would want a lively atmosphere!

Just hoping for a bit of advice as I'm stuck between the two. I've heard lots about Dublin but not much about Belfast. Ive been to both cities with friends. We went to Dublin last year and Belfast in February and i would recommend Dublin. The city, atmosphere, people was so much nicer IMO than Belfast.

Dublin will be much more expensive but has longer opening hours, a great atmosphere and a lot of pub options!!! I have to say I would go for Dublin but just be warned about the cost!!! It was just wonderful. If you're looking for great nightlife suitable for young, single girls it fits the bill way better than Dublin 9and is packed with men!

There are loads of decent bars to suit all tastes it seems like every other building is a bar! In Dublin, other than touristy Temple Bar, the decent bars are not really in one area, you have to keep getting taxis etc to find good bars. I can't comment on Belfast just yet but I'm going there this weekend so I can let you know how it compares! Oh, and in Galway , the bars just stay open until the last customers leave the landlords just pull the blinds down!
